我們研究顯示Pdia4的表達量在癌細胞(例如白血病，乳腺癌細胞等)會增加。而且，Pdia4透過調節細胞生長與抑制死亡來控制細胞生長。Pdia4位在ER中，參與未摺疊蛋白反應。在轉移肝癌細胞中，Pdia4的表達量會升高。 此外，內質網壓力也會增加它的表達量。
